WHO WE ARE
To put it simply, we are dog lovers.
Our love for dogs drive us to make Mesquite better for our four legged family members. This desire propelled us to develop the Paws of Hope Foundation (formerly The Bark Foundation). Click through below to meet our Board of Directors.

WHAT WE DO
Paws of Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and their owners in our community. Our mission is to provide access to essential veterinary care for dog owners facing financial hardship, because no one should have to chose between their pet and the care they need.
Originally established as The Bark Foundation, the name was changed to better reflect our mission and eliminate confusion with the Bark Canine Club and Resort. Susan and Bark are still involved and Keri from Bark sits on our board. We value their support and intend to carry on the mission Bark started.

We believe that dogs are invaluable members of our families and society, deserving of love, care, and respect. Our organization strives to create a community where every dog has a safe and loving home, and every owner has the resources to provide for their furry companions' needs.

Collaboration and community engagement are at the core of our approach. We actively partner with local veterinarians, organizations, and dog-related businesses to create a strong support network. When unexpected illness or injury strikes, the cost of veterinary care can be overwhelming- especially for seniors, low income families, or individuals experiencing a hardship. That's where we come in. Through financial assistance, partnerships with local veterinarians, and community outreach, we help ensure dogs receive the care they need.

Many of our senior citizens struggle on a fixed income. The Paws of Hope Foundation partners with the local Mesquite Salvation Army to provide free dog food so seniors can keep the dogs they love.
